Trustpilot Review

Meet Shel, U-Drive's Maintenance Co-ordinator and Admin Manager.

How long have you worked at U-Drive?

I’ve worked for U-Drive coming up to 7 years in August.

Tell us about your career progression so far.

I started off as an Admin Assistant processing PCNs, general admin duties which included maintenance requests and helping with HR admin in the then combined HR and Admin department. I then had a title change to HR Administration Assistant, and then finally to Maintenance Co-ordinator and Admin Manager when the departments were split back in 2021.

What is your team like to work with?

I work with two teams – Maintenance and Admin. Maintenance keep me on my toes and I’m always learning something. Will is always very generous with his time in explaining something and it’s a pleasure to work with him. The Admin team are equally great to work with, we share working practices and experiences and collaborate well together.

Which part of your role do you enjoy the most?

I love the variety of my role, no one day is the same. The best way to describe my role is, it’s like the box that you put all the bits that don’t fit elsewhere into. I look after so many disparate things, eg. Eurobags, DVLA licence checks, cyber awareness training, bad risk, to name a few.

I enjoy problem solving, researching things, I like people, I like organisation and planning, so for me this is the perfect role. I never get bored, and I get a certain amount of job satisfaction when I know something is complete.
